Sep 2023 - I just want to thank you for a wonderful stay. This is a brilliant apartment and I’ve been lucky with the weather too. Woolacombe Bay is a glorious place to be very active or completely lazy!I’m sadly leaving a day early as I need to be home by tomorrow morning but I hope to come back next spring or autumn. Nov 2021 - Just would like to thank you again for a fabulous apartment, really didn't want to leave.It was a perfect home from home and amazing locality.You were the best host I ever dealt with and Welcome pack was outstanding.Have already recommended to lots of people. Jan 2020 - Fabulous location, stunning views and a realhome from home! The apartment has everything you need plus lots of extras. Wellappointed, very clean and I highly recommend. What really differentiates thisproperty though is the hospitality and genuine warm welcome from Jenny, this isfrom the minute you book until you arrive safely home. Thank you Jenny for yourthoughtfulness and genuine desire to make sure your guests have the best possible stay!

2019

October 2019 - Our fourth year back in a row - think that says it all! Thanks you to Jenny for all the wonderful hospitality. Our week staying here is always my favourite week of the year. A place where we are all well rested. We've managed to have some lovely days out again - Rockpooling at Combe Martin, the Funicular Railway at Lynton & Lynmouth. Lunch on the beach at woolacombe. The Milky Way (for a very rainy day!) and the best finish to our holiday - the Woolacombe Fireworks - Spectacular! Thank you again & hopefully see you again next year :)
PS: Totally recommend dessert at the red barn, YUM!

July 2019 - A wonderful stay. Gorgeous apartment. Lovely finish touches from Jenny. A very warm welcome to Woolacombe. Highly reccomend the Rib boat Sea Safaris in Ilfracombe. Made me feel 10 years younger jumping in the waves. My ten year old loved it! Thank you Jenny xx

February 2019 - We have had a wonderful stay at Devon Beach Court. The apartment is fantastic and Jenny's preparation and welcoming touches were very much appreciated. This was our first time in the area and we've been amazed by what a beautiful place Woolacombe and it's surrounding are. Surfing lessons at the Hunter Surf School were a brilliant introduction, really friendly and helpful. Cycling on the Tarka Trail to Bideford a great day out, nice easy riding if a bit saddle sore by the end! We will definitely be back as we feel this is the perfect place to explore it from. All that plus Fudgies Bakehouse pasties and the legendary Barricane Beach curry.

April 2019 - Jenny, thanks for being a great host. Apartment was exactly what we needed. May look to book again next year! Thanks. Had a great time as always!

2018

September 2018 - This was our first visit to Woolacombe bay as a family and we were very much blown away by the beautiful landscape and homely apartment. It was very much a home from home feel and was no bother at all, especially when you have a toddler and 4 month old baby. The apartment is super clean, hats off to the house keeper, Thank you.
To top off our wonderful stay the sun shone every day and Lucy (our three year old ) was able to have a splash in the sea, we were very lucky for this time of year and didn’t expect the weather to be on our side. Thanks again, from the Buglione’s

September 2018 - Thank you for another excellent stay and for making us feel very welcome with the wine and scones. The kids enjoyed exploring the beaches and body-boarding in the sea. Hope to be back soon!

August 2018 - It was so lovely coming back to such a lovely apartment. Such a good location and ideal for a curry on the beach! Spent most days on the beach - in all weathers! Visited Watermouth Castle and Valley of the Rocks. We'll definitely be back again! See you next year!

July 2018 - Thank you, (for the third year in a row) for a wonderful break away in your lovely apartment! we've been very lucky with the weather this week and enjoyed many fine days out. We ventured to Exmoor Zoo this year for the first time and really enjoyed it. Very interactive which was perfect for our 3-year-old and will definitely be going again. As usual, our little one spent every evening in the sea immediately before bed - all made possible by the perfect location! hoping to be back again next year.

June 2018 - What a find! Perfect location very well equipped.  Opposite Barricade beach no need to drive all week. The apartment was very peaceful, clean and full of little extras a real 'home from home'. This was our third visit and it won't be our last. Thank you Jenny

Easter 2018 - Thank you Jenny for a wonderful stay, the kids were overjoyed to see the Easter eggs and their welcome sign! The scones were delicious too, we are so grateful for all the little touches it's so thoughtful of you. We had a wonderful stay again and hope to be back soon! xxx

February 2018 - Had a fantastic stay, Apartment is so well situated and very homely. We all felt comfortable the minute we arrived. Very clean and we loved all the added extras that made our stay so good. Spent plenty of time at the beach surfing and body boarding and slept well in the beds after all the exercise. We wish we could stay longer but unfortunately we can't this time. We will definitely be back again though i am sure. Thanks for all your help Jenny. Very appreciated!

January 2018 - Had a lovely stay - and even the weather was kind. Good location & handy for the beaches, village & Mortehoe. The welcome pack was also appreciated - Thank you.

2017

August 2017 - A real home from home. Our boys loved the cosy feel of the apartment after a days surfing. We didn't venture far as we had wonderful weather surfing on the main Woolacombe beach and on Combesgate, (our favourite.) Enjoyed many meals out in Woolacombe. Bar Electric, The Boardwalk were great but the best meal was the curry on Barricaine beach below. Late night waffles next to the pitch and put were fab too, the boys said. A fab week, we will be back! Thank you for allowing us to stay in such welcoming, well looked after apartment, a real find!

August 2017 - Thank you for looking after us so well, you are so thoughtful and it really does mean a lot. The children are talking about coming back next year, for our fourth visit. It makes me smile to think of them telling their own children, one day, of their holidays in Woolacombe!!

August 2017 -  What a lovely apartment! Thank you for all the lovely extras, they made a long journey worth while. We loved staying here. Such a great location and a lovely place to come back to each night. Our girls loved their bedroom and were stunned to see their names on the wall when we arrived . (A lovely touch). We had a mixed bag of weather but found enough to do to keep us busy and dry. Being able to walk to the beach from the apartment was brilliant.

April 2017 - Thank you very much for all of your extremely helpful e-mail communication and for the little welcome sign for the kids, they loved it! The apartment is perfect for a walk to the beach or Morthoe, we shall definitely be back! Ps- The kids read through ALL the books! They loved them 😊

Easter 2017 - Thank you so much we really enjoyed it, we really want to come back, we went to the beach every day and it was only a little walk we really enjoyed surfing!

June 2016 - What a fantastic time we have had. The weather was not brilliant but that did not really matter. We still enjoyed walks and the beaches. The apartment was perfect and really thoughtful to have beach equipment and other items there. Jenny's emails were really appreciated. We certainly will be back! Family Maffre

June 2015 - 'Not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed that this is the 4th visit to Devon Beach Court in 5 years. We have had a great holiday from start to finish, the apartment is just as we remembered. Would recommend the Boardwalk, Bar Electric and the Tides Inn for lovely food and a great Sunday lunch plus the authentic, homemade Sri Lankan curries on Barricaine beach, just opposite the apartment. Take a long a bottle and a picnic rug and you are set for the night! Had a fab day out at the Big Sheep, fun for everyone. Thank you again for the delicious cream tea awaiting us. May 2015 - Had a fantastic time, love the apartment and the personal touches. Highly recommend the Cliff Top Cafe in Lynton for a cream tea, they are huge. August 2013 - The holiday was brilliant we had a fantastic week as soon as we walked into the apartment the holiday was set. Everything was more than we expected we felt at home here and the kids loved it. We would love to stay in number 8 DBC again and again. The Colloff 5, Somerset.

April 2013 - Great apartment! Shame weather wasn't best. Had some good days out at Broomhill Sculpture Trail, Quince Honey Farm, Cascades at Ruda, Croyde Bay, Cliff Railway at Lynmouth and Lynton and the highlight The Grome Reserve. Sarah, Jason, Lily and Sophie - Enfield.

April 2013 - What a lovely apartment! Our kids just loved staying here and did not want to leave. For our family this apartment was ideal. Great location and fully equipped with everything you could possible need. We will be back. Sarah, Steve, Gracie and Rosie - Stoke on Trent.

March 2013 - Thank you for a lovely stay at Number 8! A home from home with everything we needed especially for the little one! Ideal location. Had 4 beautiful sunny days and 2 not so great days but lots to do when it rains. We tried the Woolacombe Bay Hotel swimming pool for the morning sauna , steam and swim in a lovely warm pool, all for £5 each - Bargain! We had bought tea towels and washing up liquid etc so to find out they all had been taken care of was lovely.
